Small bowel enteroscopy is a small bowel endoscopic procedure that is performed with an extra-long endoscope. This is used to access areas deeper in the small intestine not accessible with the standard-length endoscope. Small bowel enteroscopy is often used to treat or remove abnormalities that are discovered during capsule endoscopy.
